5th edition of the Job Fair – Escola Superior de Tecnologias e Gestão de Viseu (ESTGV) – Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (IPV)
The Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (IPV) held the 5th Edition of the Job Fair on October 11. The initiative was dedicated to all the students within its academic community, including those who are finishing high school in the region and may choose higher education in the future.
The multipurpose hall of the Escola Superior de Tecnologias e Gestão de Viseu (ESTGV) welcomed many hundreds of students throughout the day, offering a program filled with presentations from companies, the IPV itself, and plenty of entertainment.
Altice Labs was represented with a stand and demonstrators. There was also an opportunity to give an institutional presentation by Raquel Pinheiro, from the Strategy and Innovation department, and a workshop on Cybersecurity led by Gonçalo Machado, head of Strategy and Innovation department 42.
Start Point Summit – Universidade do Minho
Altice Labs was present at the 15th edition of the Start Point Summit, the largest event for employment, entrepreneurship, and training at the Universidade do Minho. We were represented at this mega fair aimed at fostering direct contact with the job market, promoting opportunities, developing skills, and networking on October 17 with a stand and demonstrators.
Throughout this day, we had the opportunity to introduce dozens of students to our Altice Labs Innovation Academy internship program, as well as to the distinctive culture of our organization. At our stand, young people were also able to see a cube equipped with motors attached to inertia wheels and the corresponding control electronics, which allow it to actively balance itself on 3 of its edges or one of its vertices. This work was done by a summer intern at Altice Labs.
