At the invitation of CeSIUM (Systems and Computing Students Centre of the University of Minho), and to celebrate the 24th anniversary of this association, Paulo Margaça, from the Innovation and Technology Strategy department, was a speaker with two other participants  and ex- presidents of the centre: Pedro Tróia and Daniel Araújo.

Besides the moment of sharing and celebration of one more anniversary, the conversation and curiosity of the current students of the University of Minho Computing course was focused on the first years of its existence. What were the main challenges and how were they overcome? There were many questions and the discussion took place for two hours, with the sharing of experience in the centre, and the professional journey of each of the speakers. The course, history and international dimension of Altice Labs was shared in the lecture and seen as an asset for the students who attended the event.

This is clearly a networking event and an approach to the business world, and in this case Altice Labs, with a reference academy in the national panorama, such as the University of Minho. Taking advantage of the proximity initiative to students and teachers, the Altice International Innovation Award was announced, which was very well received by the students and the current director of the degree in Informatics Engineering, Prof. Dr. António Luís Sousa.

In the words of the Vice President of the centre, Sérgio Costa, “Once again, we thank you for your presence, and we believe with conviction that everyone present at the session loved your testimony and left with an extra motivation”.

In parallel and on this same day, the Empower Minho 3.0 took place, organized by Young Minho Enterprise, a young company from the University of Minho, where Altice Labs and Inovaria were present to promote its internship program.
