On June 22, the FLOYD project organized the “Connected Mobility” workshop at the Altice Labs facilities in Aveiro.

This event shared the main results obtained in the areas of continuous and uninterrupted connectivity in heterogeneous environments associated with edge and cloud computing, network quality measurements, control and forecasting, orchestration, and security. Other projects were also presented, namely 5G-Auto, Route 25, InSecTT and STEROID, covering related topics and providing an opportunity to share experiences.

The workshop also had the contribution of two key speakers, Pedro Barradas, representing ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) Portugal, and Peter Steenkist, from CMU (Carnegie Mellon University), who presented complementary but related perspectives on the subject of connected mobility.

The project began on 01.01.2021 and ended on 30.06.2023 and was funded by PT2020 from the CMU Portugal program. In addition to Altice Labs, members of the consortium include Capgemini Engineering, the Telecommunications Institute, CISTER and VORTEX CoLab. Altice Labs coordinated working groups 3 (Network Management and Enhancements) and 6 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

The recording of this workshop and videos of the demonstrations can be found on the project’s YouTube channel.
