Data has become crucial to companies’ success, but most companies are still lagging. Many employees have access to data they shouldn’t have, rogue data propagates in silos and companies’ data enablement tech often isn’t up to its demands. This results in slow and inefficient business processes and the need to cope with significant data privacy, integrity, and quality issues that undermine the ability to analyze the data. Businesses will thrive when they adopt a systematic approach to collecting, storing, analyzing, and managing data.
In this Tech Day we presented a brief summary of some relevant steps to undertake when evolving into a data-driven organization, with some focus on applicable data governance reference models and data architecture/framework alternatives to be considered.
