Test Bed Description

Aveiro Smart Connected Spaces aims to provide SMEs and Startups with the necessary conditions to develop and test new products and services for the communications, sensing and actuation/automation sector, thus accelerating its transformation process. It aims to increase the number of product/service pilots that the sector’s business fabric can make available to the market, supporting SMEs and Startups to cross the “valley of death” and promote the creation of high value-added products and services. In terms of physical infrastructure, this Test Bed envisages the reinforcement and use of the sensing, computing and connectivity infrastructure associated with the Aveiro Tech City Living Lab, Ílhavo, the beaches and the Port of Aveiro. The Test Bed will be implemented in Aveiro, Ílhavo, the Port of Aveiro and the ria and maritime area (aquaculture), given the capacity and infrastructures that exist there from a physical and technological point of view.
