This year, Altice Labs had the opportunity to celebrate the World Usability Day, in a joint initiative with the DigiMedia Research Center from the Department of Communication and Art/DeCA and the support of the American Corner, focusing on themes such as ​​Human-Computer Interaction, Usability and User Experience.

On the 22nd November, a set of initiatives took place, beginning with Santosh Basapur, Professor and Coordinator in the field of human factors and systems design at IIT, Institute of Design, in Chicago, formerly the principal staff researcher in the area of User Experience at the Motorola Mobility Applied Research Center (a Google company). Santosh revealed his perspective and experience under the theme “The role of usability in systems thinking”.

In the early afternoon, Inês Oliveira gave an open lecture at the UA , “Leading the user experience in big companies – 12 tips and so much to learn”, challenging students to rethink their own experience and journey when integrating the corporate world .

Finally, at Altice Labs, there was a visit by Santosh Basapur who, in an informal conversation, made it possible to discuss topics related to User Experience and the Media, namely a more immersive experience with Television.
