The results from Project OSSaaS were presented in a workshop, held on January 29, in Aveiro.
The project resulted in a cloud platform for deploying OSS features, available in SaaS.
This workshop was the last planned dissemination activity and aimed to present the results obtained in the project’s pilot phase.
The first part of the day was dedicated to OSSaaS ecosystem which consists of 11 software modules jointly designed and developed by internal teams, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) and University of Minho (UM). IPN was in charge of presenting the catalog modules, monitoring and orchestration while UM focused on the modules dedicated to managing PaaS and IaaS resources.
Still in the first half of the workshop, was also presented OSSaaS pilot scenario based on INCO networks with GPON technology. INCO networks are currently being deployed in residential condominiums in Portugal and Brazil and also in Spain through a partnership with Televés.
The second half of the workshop comprised the transformation of OSS products SIGO, NetQ and NA in SaaS components. The entire lifecycle of an OSSas client was shown live, including registration and obtaining access credentials to OSSaaS Portal, acquiring and using OSSaaS services to its upgrade and cancellation.
