In April, we hosted four school visits to the Altice Labs facilities in Aveiro. These visits allowed dozens of students to have contact with a company that operates in the telecommunications area and to get to know our facilities.

On April 5th, we received a visit from a group of 12th grade students from the Computer Systems Management and Programming Technical course of the D. Duarte High School – Coimbra Oeste School Group. After a brief institutional presentation, the Operations Support Systems department was introduced in more detail. This was followed by a tour of the prototype development laboratory, the climate testing laboratory, Future Labs, and the testing and quality control laboratories.

On April 12th, it was time for a group of Multimedia and Communication Technologies students from the University of Aveiro to visit our facilities. After a welcome session, two demonstrations were given, one on connectivity and the other on SmartHome and Television. This was followed by a presentation by Sara Frias Almeida from the Innovation Strategy and Digital department on “Transforming user stories into differentiating mobile digital experiences” and one by Sara Furão and Isabel Teixeira from the Network and Platform Services department on “How to create your Virtual Assistant”.

Also, on the afternoon of April 12th, we received a visit from students from DETI (Department of Eletronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engeneering) at the University of Aveiro. The students were able to attend a presentation about the company and the Network Systems Development department, as well as visit the prototype development laboratory, the Certification and Conformity Testing Laboratories, the Museum and Future Labs.

On the morning of April 26th, around 40 students from the 10th and 11th grade of the Electronics, Automation and Computers course and from the 10th grade of the Electrical Installations course of the Sernancelhe Vocational School visited Altice Labs facilities. After watching an institutional presentation about the company, the students saw a demonstration of SmartHome and Television. This was followed by a tour of the prototype development laboratory, the Climate Test Laboratory, the Museum, and Future Labs.

After the visit, most of the students were satisfied and interested in working at Altice Labs in the future.
