Responding to an invitation from IADE – European University, for the third year in a row, the Altice Labs’ Usability and User eXperience team gave a workshop on the 27th March to students of the Master’s Degree in Interaction Design. This workshop was hosted by Cátia Oliveira and Maria Inês Almeida, from the Innovation and Technology Strategy department.

As part of the so-called IxD Seminars, the workshop entitled “UX Methodologies in a Practical Application Context” was held at the university’s facilities and open to the community in general.

In addition to the methodologies underlying Contextual Design, Icon Sorting, Expert Review and Usability Tests, a practical exercise on Customer Journey Maps was made that allowed the audience to be more aware of the particularities about the knowledge of an entire journey in a person’s specific scenario (persona description) in order to help decision making on a project and ensuring a substantial improvement in the experience given to the user.

The workshop was punctuated by the curiosity shown by the students in the application of academic knowledge in the industry, ending with the invitation to hold a new edition of the workshop.
