On the 19th November 2016, a technological session with ICT companies and entrepreneurs from the UK took place at the premises of Altice Labs.
In addition to the presence of the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Portugal, Dr Kirsty Hayes, this session had 6 british companies which presented their solutions and services.
Uk companies (BigChange; Zeetta Networks; Legion; Smartglyph; Grove Group and nCrypted Cloud) shared their knowledge in distinct areas such as Mobile Services, Smart Cities, Scientific Software, Security, Cloud, SDN Networks and Simulation.
The event had the presence of MEO’s New Business Direction and a broad representation from Altice Labs and representatives from Inovaria.
The session ended with a visit to Altice Labs laboratories and to the directions of Business Support Systems, Network and Platforms Services and Digital, Internet and Television.
According to Luís Miguel Silva, Director for Technological Coordination and Innovation at Altice Labs, “This session enabled the interaction with ICT companies and entrepreneurs from the UK, the european geography with the most developed digital economy, and it was fully aligned with Altice Labs innovation strategy which seeks to strengthen the collaboration with innovative ICT startups and companies as an instrument in the creation of new products and innovative solutions for the market, and in particular, that contribute to the competitive positioning of Altice’s Operations.”
