The “TICE in Schools” initiative, resulting from the partnership between the Municipality of Aveiro and INOVA-RIA, aims to introduce students to existing professions in the area of TICE, using practical examples shared by professionals in the area, showing simultaneously, its regional and global context and its relevance to our future. This initiative is taking place in several educational establishments in the municipality and in this first phase it targets secondary school students.

It was within the scope of this initiative that, on the 17th May, Altice Labs’ Future Labs received a group of 11th grade students from Dr. Mário Sacramento Secondary School, in Aveiro, who attended a drone workshop. During this workshop, dynamised by Vitor Neves from Altice Labs’  Internet and Television Direction, students had the opportunity to get to know a little more about drones and their possibilities, as well as experience in person the control effect of a drone, under careful guidance from the facilitator.
