In order to disseminate the results obtained in the FITMAN project (Future Internet in the Manufacturing industries), PT Inovação is organizing the national seminar “The Factory of the Future“, on the 16th of September, in the auditorium of the Engineers Order Aveiro Delegation, and it will include a dissemination space (showroom) of emerging technologies.

The FITMAN project aimed to test and evaluate the suitability, the degree of openness and the flexibility of software components (generic enablers and specific enablers) of the Fiware central platform, a Public Private Partnership, when applied in 10 case studies in Future Factory environment covering Intelligent, Digital and Virtual domains.

The field trials were held in four large companies (eg., Volkswagen and Agusta Westland) and 6 SME (eg., Consulgal) and covered such diverse sectors such as automotive components, aerospace, furniture, LED lighting, plastic injection, construction and production asset management.

Results should now contribute to greater technological, economic, environmental and political sustainability for the EU manufacturing industry.

Being an event open to the general public, it is intended for an audience specialized in the industrial area, but also for the Academy (university professors, researchers and students) and for startups.
