On the 13th and 14th November, the 6th edition of the TADSummit 2018 international conference, sponsored by Altice Labs, was held in Lisbon at the ENTER space.
This conference is held annually, bringing together leading experts in the area of Communications Applications, focusing on sharing information about projects and solutions in this area, including topics as diverse as Unified Communications, Contact Center, Collaboration, Contextual Communications, Conversational CRM and BOTs, M2M and IoT, Telecom APIs, WebRTC, Decentralized Communications.
Paulo Chaínho, from the Technological Coordination and Innovation department, was present as a speaker in the Web3 session to make a presentation on “Power to Smart Citizens. reTHINK @ Smart Cities“.
This presentation focused on the design and development of the reTHINK Framework, in accordance with Decentralized Communications principles. The reTHINK Framework enables the quick development of applications rich in communication features, ensuring your users complete control of their identity and personal data according to GDPR, using innovative concepts of extreme edge computing and interoperability without the need for networks federation.
The Sharing Lisboa Application, developed by Altice Labs, and recently launched by the Sharing Cities consortium, led by the Lisbon City Council, was presented to exemplify how Smart Cities Applications can benefit from the reTHINK framework by promoting small local communities that are organized around common social causes, helping to promote more environmentally sustainable behavior.
