Once again, Altice Labs opened its doors to family members of its employees and partners for summer internships in some areas of its activity.

The purpose of these internships is that the participants come into contact with a company and understand which skills they should develop as future professionals.

Four interns worked on three different projects: “3D Modeling”, “Customer Experience Strategy for a News Mobile App” and “Communication and Digital Marketing”.

Future Labs welcomed Lucas Erlhagen and Tomás Loureiro, for two weeks, in the 3D Modeling project, who were supervised by Nuno Ricardo Dias and Fernando Morgado from Technology and Innovation Strategy department. Lucas, already with some experience in this area, designed and printed parts for an automated testing prototype for the laboratory of the Network Systems Development department.

Meanwhile, Tomás Loureiro had a more didactic work: drawing a specific box for the Arduino and other small pieces. This project’s objective was to learn more about design tools and exportating to 3D printing appropriate formats.

In turn,  Ana Calé Gaspar was welcomed on the Technology and Innovation Strategy department, by the Product Design and User Experience team, for the “Customer Experience Strategy for a News Mobile App” project to work on the definition of a Customer Experience strategy for the mobile application of a National Newspaper. This strategy will serve as a guideline for the UI/UX specification work of the application, as well as for the subsequent Promotion of this product.

During her internship, her main tasks included defining and describing the app’s target demographic, proposing a strategic vision for the user experience, and creating metrics that enable objectively assessing the solution’s performance. Ana’s optimism, proactivity, and dedication, in addition to her academic knowledge, caused the entire team to perceive itself in this modus operandi and made her feel like she was an integral part of the team.

This year’s edition of internships for employees and partners’ families ended with the presence of Mafalda Aguiar, for two weeks, in the Communication team on the “Communication and Digital Marketing” project. Mafalda helped in various activities and tasks of Internal and External Communication, in events, on the logOUT newsletter and in the logistics and execution of internal campaigns. With her youthful and irreverent spirit and a willingness to always do more and better, it was possible to live a great experience in a corporate environment that will certainly enrich her personal and professional career.
