The evolution of Smart Cities was the topic addressed at the seminar “Smart Territories: City Catalyst… a contribution!”, which took place on May 17th at the auditorium of the main building of the PCI – Creative Science Park, in Ílhavo. The event was organized by TICE.PT and aimed to debate the role of technology in the sustainable development of territories.
Filipe Cabral Pinto, from Altice Labs’ Innovation Strategy and Digital department, was present in a round table discussion on the identification of loopholes and future challenges of cities and territories. In this debate, an analysis was carried out on the impact of the City Catalyst project as a mobilizer in building sustainable cities. From a research and business perspective, new challenges were also addressed regarding the digital transformation, considering the common needs and specificities of the territories of the future.
