Altaia is the PT Inovação e Sistemas product for the performance and QoS (quality of service) management of telecommunications networks and services. It offers to all areas of a telecommunications operator (operations, planning, marketing, etc.), the adequate information for problems detection and resolution and historical data analysis.

This product falls within the scope of Structuring Projects of Oi Engineering for the integration and evolution of support operation systems, aligned between Engineering and Information Technology, and considered crucial to the growth of the Oi.

The performance management of the mobile network, includes the 2G, 3G and 4G access networks and all the core network, service platforms and the Ericsson smart network. The performance technological packs developed, were integrated with a wide range of manufactures, taking into account the history, the size and the continuous evolution of Oi.

It was also specially designed a management performance pack for the vision and needs of the Brazilian regulator, Anatel. Thus, Altaia was considered a benchmark product.

At this time, Altaia calculates an average of 100 million of indicators per hour, having reached peak record values ​​of 1000 million indicators per hour. The system is deployed in a fully redundant architecture and disaster recovery on 2 sites.

In a near future, Altaia should extend its coverage to the wire line and data network for Oi, consolidating its position as a unified system for managing performance of this operator and contributing decisively to improve the quality of services offered to its customers.
