START POINT Summit – University of Minho
Altice Labs was present in the START POINT Summit, the largest employment, entrepreneurship, and training event at the University of Minho, organized by the Academic Association of the University of Minho.
In its 16th edition, the event aimed to foster direct contact between participants and the job market, through the promotion of opportunities, skills development, and networking. The fair took place on the 15th and 16th of October, 2024, and the Altice Labs stand featured André Carvalho, from the Human Resources department, Pedro Lima, from the Business and Operations Support Systems department, and Pedro António, from the Digital Platforms and Services department.
During the two-day event, more than 120 students from Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, and IEFP courses visited the Altice Labs stand, expressing interest in the internship opportunities offered by the company.
Talent Bootcamp Academias Norte – Online
Altice Labs virtually participated in the Talent Bootcamp Academias Norte, an event held on October 24th and 25th, 2024, which brought together companies and students to stimulate the interchange of knowledge and offer networking opportunities.
Altice Labs’ participation stood out due to its interactive and collaborative approach, offering growth opportunities for both students and the Human Resources (HR) department. On the first day, Vera Santos and André Carvalho, from HR, lead presentation sessions about the organization, its activities, and career opportunities.
On the second day, Altice Labs was dedicated to feedback sessions where Vera Santos and André Carvalho evaluated numerous pitches from students, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. They also provided practical guidance on how to perfect future presentations. This personalized feedback was highly appreciated by the students, contributing to their personal and professional development.
FENGE 2024 – Engineering Fair of Coimbra
Altice Labs participated in the Engineering Fair of Coimbra’s Superior Institute of Engineering (FENGE 2024) on October 22nd. Recognized as one of the largest employment events in the country, the fair is exclusively organized by students and promotes connections between companies and university students. Altice Labs’ presence provided an opportunity to introduce the company to aspiring talents eager to enter the job market.
During the event, Altice Labs engaged with more than 75 students from fields such as Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The opportunities of the Altice Labs Innovation Academy internship program were presented, as well as the organization’s distinct culture. At the stand, the students were able to talk to André Carvalho, from the the Human Resources department, and João Antas, from the Development of Advanced Connectivity Solutions department. This interaction gave the students a realistic view of the work culture and values that the company promotes.
