STEM LABS: Engineering and Technology Laboratories

On May 4th, Altice Labs took part in the “STEM LABS: Engineering and Technology Laboratories” initiative at the Viana do Castelo Cultural Center. The main goal of this event was to bring schools closer to the job market, but above all to inspire more women to pursue these areas and to strengthen the female presence in the sector.

We had the opportunity to present Altice Labs to approximately 180 students, giving them a 50-minute presentation on what goes on in a technology company and how important the female role is in this area. Six classes from 9th to 12th grade also had the chance to see some demonstrators (Temi and automatic fibergateway tests) and a presentation of SmartAL.
