On December 19, Altice Labs welcomed the Oliveira Júnior School Group from São João da Madeira for a visit to its facilities. Thirty-three students and four teachers from the Professional Course in Multimedia Technician had the opportunity to learn about the company’s history and organizational culture, as well as gain insights into the real-world working environment, connecting theory with practice.

After a welcoming session and institutional presentation, the students attended an exhibition on 3D Infrastructure Development – GEN9, given by Guilherme Amaral, from the Network Systems Development department. Bruno Gameiro from the Strategy and Innovation department also introduced them to Adobe After Effects, a tool dedicated to creating dynamic audiovisual content, and provided a breakdown of an animation developed using the same tool for the promotion of a project at Altice Labs, with the intention of simplifying the creation process for the students.

This was followed by a guided tour of the immersive booth in the leisure room, the Future Labs, and the prototype development laboratory (TECNOCET).

This was the last visit of 2023, but we will continue to stay close to schools and universities in 2024 as we believe this is a way of making a significant contribution to the students’ educational and professional development.
