Altice Labs was pleased to receive at Future Labs a group of 5 students from the University of Aveiro currently attending Masters in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computers and Telematics and Informatics.
This group promotes, together with other colleagues from the same courses, a laboratory with a similar spirit to the Future Labs called NeRD.
Doing different things in your free time with what you have at hand and learning more and sharing knowledge is what motivates and made them look for Future Labs, in order to create synergies.
For Altice Labs, this is an opportunity to be with students with innovative traits and, for the NeRDs, to show what they are capable of and to get help for their projects.
At this point, they already know how to build 3D printers, open the room’s door with a robotic arm and fix damaged equipment. They do not hide other projects that they have up their sleeve, like an AI system to execute several commands in the room itself and doors that allow to see what’s inside. But there are many other projects, some more humanitarian, such as fixing toys to distribute at Christmas.
We look forward to a fruitful cooperation in the near future with such dynamic young people.
