The Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Doctor Manuel Heitor, visited Altice Labs on the 16th December 2016 with the presence of Alexandre Fonseca, MEO’s CTO.
The Minister is fully aware of this project relevance to the country, having been in Aveiro for several occasions in different stages of the organization that nowadays is Altice Labs.
There were visits to the several development areas, laboratories and most emblematic projects and were shown the international markets where Altice Labs operates.
In this visit it was emphasized the importance of the systematic Innovation process and of the ongoing research and development projects in the company and its connection to the scientific system, and the confidence placed on Altice Labs as a model example and catalyst for the relashionship of the companies with the scientific system has been reiterated. Several tools are being studied to strengthen the link university-companies and Altice Labs takes part in this process.
