Last week came to reality the first tele-consultation in Morocco with the help of a telemedicine’s platform, Medigraf.

This solution, deployed in two hospitals and three clinics in Casablanca and in the region of El Jadida, started off with an actual consultation between the Hospital Mohamed V in El Jadida and a distant clinic in Bir Jdid.

This demonstration relied on the presence of the Chief of Gynaecology at the Hospital El Jadida – Dr. Zoubaidi Abdelkrim – two doctors of his staff – Dr. Fallah Lahcen and Dr. Bouchra Sabiri – also gynaecologists and, at the distant clinic, Dr. Chouhbi Admed, a General Practice doctor, who performed an ultrasound on a pregnant patient.

Medigraf will be operational for the course of three weeks before it’s formally announced on the Moroccan media.

Meditel Foundation and Open Idea Morocco attended the mentioned consultation. This project is a partnership between Meditel Foundation, Open Idea and the Ministry of Health.

This project’s success may imply that it is replicated across all of the Moroccan territory.
