Altice Labs participated, with PT Empresas, in the V Telemedicine Meeting, an event that took place at the Conimbriga Museum, in Condeixa-a-Nova under the theme “Tele-Health: NHS strategic vector – Acessibility, Care Quality and Sustainability”.

In addition to the participation in several thematic panels and conferences, Altice Labs marked its presence with a stand where Medigraf solutions (teleconsulting, telediagnosis) and SmartAL (vital signs telemonitoring and user support) were demonstrated.

Célia Gonçalves, PT Empresas product manager, and Vitor Simões, from Altice Labs, were at the PT Empresas showroom presenting the advantages of those two solutions, that allow to improve considerably the accessibility and healthcare quality in Portugal.

The V Telemedicine Meeting also had the participation of the Portuguese Medical Association President, José Manuel Silva, the Regional Centre Section of Portuguese Medical Association President, Carlos Cortes, the National Health Service founder, António Arnaud and the Portguese Telemedicine Association president, Eduardo Castela, among others responsible.

Coimbra was once again in focus on the health quality and innovation route. It should also be recalled that the Medigraf solution (teleconsulting in realtime) was first implemented in 1998 by the Pediatric Cardiology Service of Coimbra Hospital, with PT, from the beginning, as a reference partner in the implementation of this pioneer solution. Nowadays, the solution is functioning in a network with all the hospitals from the center and north regions, in Elvas Hospital, in Vila Real de Tras-os-Montes, and also two health units in Angola and five in Morroco. Some of these implementations already have the new Medigraf version, Cloud solution through web browser interfaces.
