Costa Nova Popular Race

The 5th edition of the Costa Nova Popular Race took place on the 14th July, and is considered by the organization and by most athletes as the fastest 10km race in Portugal.

This fact proves the high number of athletes who register each year with a distance certified and measured by the Portuguese Athletics Federation, in a round trip, riverside, flat, without accentuated curves, with very specific characteristics.

Altice Labs was present with a team of 30 athletes who represented the company at a very competitive and participative level.

The Sacrifice Game

You and your friends are walking in Praça Guilherme Gomes Fernandes and hear a girl crying desperately in building nr 53.

While hearing the screams you decide to go up to help. The house is haunted by the spirit of little Emily von Verder. Erica von Verder, her mother, set up several traps and black magic to reincarnate Emily’s spirit into a new body. The only way you can escape alive is to sacrifice one of your friends to give life to little Emily.

Can you decide who to sacrifice or will all of you die when Erica unleashes all her rage on you?

This was the theme launched by Altice Labs as part of a LogOut initiative, to which a team of 8 researchers from the company (in the photo) was selected. This was the theme that this team of researchers from Altice Labs unveiled, on the 27th June, with 60 minutes of intense adrenaline, and managed to overcome the goal.

From the participants’ comments, the initiative was very successful:

“It was fun and a good time. It’s a good activity for team building.”, Carlos Marinho

“Congratulations for the initiative! Thank you for sharing! This was BRUTAL!”, Ricardo Marçal

“It was spectacular and a very different end of the day! We did a good team work, both in the game and on the road! More initiatives like this are welcome!”, Deolinda Moura

ONTIX Mission and Pig Roast

On Friday, the 13th July, the first ONTIX Mission Peddy-Paper took place on the campus of Altice Labs.

With 23 teams composed of 4 elements each, this event allowed the 92 registered participants to run, jump, investigate, know the company’s facilities and make new friendships in a spirit of constant cooperation.

After finishing the ONTIX challenge, a lunch and dinner of Pig Roast was held for the participants and collaborators of Altice Labs, where there were activities such as board games and karaoke to accompany.
