Altice Labs participated in SUPERA (Portuguese Society for Rehabilitation Engineering, Support Technologies and Accessibility), held in Porto from the 1st to the 3rd June 2017.
This event was organized according to an agenda based on four main activities: Scientific Conference, Workshops, Expo-SUPERA and TOM: Porto Challenge.
Altice Labs, represented by Vitor Simões Ribeiro from the Digital, Internet and Television Direction, contributed with a workshop on the SmartAL solution as a platform to support people with special needs and was one of the three entities that were part of the TOM awarding jury.
Having as main purpose the development of devices/products to support the functionality improvement of people with disabilities, these TOM challenges take place in several countries around the world, this being the first time that it has taken place in Portugal.
The contest was attended by 10 teams representing various public Higher Education Institutions, which for two days developed innovative projects, whose awards were given at the end of the event, with the presence of the Secretary of State for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, Dr. Ana Sofia Antunes.
In addition to Altice Labs, the PT Foundation was also one of the sponsors.
