On the 28th June, the “From stitch to stitch” workshop was held at Altice Labs, where 10 participants performed a basic sewing project.

The participants, mostly without previous experience with the sewing machine, learned how to take measurements, prepare the sewing pattern in correct size, the various ways of fabric cutting and assemble and make a basic piece with the provided sewing machine.

The end result was a piece they never imagined they could make and a desire to repeat the experience!

On the 6th July, the “Beer Production” event was held at the Altice Labs garden, where 30 employees learned how to produce their own beer or just to have an idea of how it’s made.

For this event, Altice Labs had the precious collaboration of Hélder Santana, Pedro Franco and José Miguel Freitas who are producers on their free time and prize winners in national competitions.

While demonstrating the artisanal manufacturing process, several beer tastings were carried out by these colleagues. The “Amber American Pale Ale” recipe was prepared on that same day, as an example. Each of the 30 participants of this initiative received a bottle of beer with the Altice Labs logo.
