On February 24th, the Product Design and User Experience (UX) team from the Innovation Strategy and Digital department held a collaborative ideation session with the students of the Master’s in Sustainable Energy Systems at the University of Aveiro (UA). This meeting was held under the context of the Altice Home mobile application (developed by Altice Labs and available in MEO stores for purchasing smart devices and in the store for downloading the app) and aimed to gather information to feed into UX Research for a new pillar, Energy.
UX Research allows you to gain knowledge about the product/feature you’re working on and is focused on 3 pillars: business voice, market voice, and users’ voice. With these 3 voices properly elaborated, it is possible to make a value proposition regarding user experience. In this case, the energy pillar is the one that is being initiated, while the comfort, safety and connectivity pillars already exist.
In the session with the UA, exercises such as brainwriting and brainwalking and prioritizing ideas were performed. People embraced the initiative, and several innovative points were mentioned.
This is one of many moments that the UX team is promoting with future users to ensure that the strategy for this new add-on is based on real and diverse information, reflecting their needs.
