Between May and August 2018, the curriculum internship of Alexis Fleuret, from ECAM (L’École Catholique d’Arts et Métiers Strasbourg-Europe) took place at Future Labs.

With the guidance of Fernando Morgado and Nuno Seixas, from the Technological Coordination and Innovation department, the project with the designation “e.Sense” allowed to create a prototype of a smart building infrastructure: a module based on WeMos with sensors of temperature, humidity, concentration of VOC (volatile organic compounds), noise level and brightness, which integrates with Altice Labs SmartIoT platform, to allow web and chat bot access.

The housing for the “e.Sense” module was designed and printed in 3D at Future Labs by Constança Alves who, during his summer internship for children of Altice Labs employees, was guided by José Miguel Santos from the Development of Business department.
