Future Labs has yet again marked Friday with another “Thank God It’s Friday!” (TGIF).

Held on the last 21st September, the 3rd TGIF Altice Labs had as main theme the “Renewable energies in the auto consumption aspect” and, once again, was opened to the entire Altice Labs community. Our colleague Cátia Carvalho, from the Coordination Technological and Innovation department, organized this session and presented the  project that evolves generating energy from photovoltaic panels, soon to be implemented at Altice Labs.

In addition, our colleagues Célio Abreu and Michael Pata, both from the Network Services and Platforms department, presented the Energy Dashboard, a project developed by their team during HAL2018 (hackathon promoted last February by Future Labs) in the context of this theme. It’s an application that allows the monitoring of energy consumptions in most of Altice Labs’ buildings.

TGIFs, quite informal sessions, always revolve around a main theme (which any collaborator can suggest), and in the course of the session it may evolve to other themes that the participants may consider interesting and pertinent.
