PT Inovação e Sistemas attended the Digital Educational Contents Workshop held on May 16th and organized by the Minho University ICT in Education Competence Center.
This event aimed primarily education and training professionals, including teachers and trainers who care about technological innovation issues and its integration in education and training practices. The event has structured in a set of free workshops and an investigative reflection group and also a panel group and a conference.
Arnaldo Santos, head of PT Inovação e Sistemas Product Marketing and Communication participated in the Learning and Digital Contents panel, giving it a strategic and operational vision, particularly in a business context.
In the multifunctional connected devices proliferation current status as well as the social networks explosion and consumer habits transformation enhanced by technology, the need to adapt digital content to new digital spaces and scenarios in the learning organizations context arises.
Arnaldo Santos presented PT Inovação e Sistemas last development concerning digital content, in particular in 3D immersive environments, in Serious Game type of scenarios, Digital Storytelling, Learning Objects and Interactive Video. This focus on innovation has been referred by the market as one of the distinguishing elements of content provision for Formare (PT InS eLearning Platform) in terms of professional training.
After the lecture, Content Virtualization for Cloud environments had a special attention, in particular the Khan Academy project that started to offer a free any place, any time education through video classes available online (now over 400 videos from the 1st to 12th grade and with over 500,000 views).
