Cloud Technology and Services Evolution at the 127th Tech Day

The 127^th Altice Labs Tech Day was held on June 28^th, under the theme “Cloud Technology and Services Evolution”.

The keynote speaker was José Ruivo from Altice Portugal, whose presentation “The Future and Impact of Cloud Services” framed the topic and looked at its evolution, generally addressing issues of security, multi-Cloud, environmental sustainability and associated technologies such as 5G, quantum systems, edge computing and artificial intelligence.

The second speaker was Armando Custódio, from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, who gave a presentation entitled “HPE Green Lake – The cloud that comes to you”, giving HPE’s vision of architectures and business models, not leaving out issues such as the efficiency and sustainability of solutions.

These speeches were followed by Paulo Machado and Francisco Ramos do Ó, from IBM Portugal, whose agenda included topics such as Green Computing & Sustainability, Distributed Cloud and Quantum Technologies Applied to Cloud Systems.

The last speaker was André Rodrigues, from Amazon Web Services, who addressed topics such as security, privacy and artificial intelligence in the cloud.

This 127^th Tech Day ended with a short questions and answers session.
