The City Catalyst mobilization project held a seminar in Guimarães, at the Azurém Campus – University of Minho, entitled “Normalized City Analytics”, dedicated to Smart Cities. This event, which was open to the entire business and scientific community, presented the main results related to the standardization of data models and interfaces in order to boost interoperability between different domains.

Filipe Cabral Pinto, from the Innovation Strategy and Digital department, presented, together with Manuel Santos, from the Computer Graphics Centre, the topic “Standardized information models for city management” and took part in the round table “City Catalyst: to Sustainable Cities”, which discussed the challenges that cities still face and how technological developments can help on the road to sustainability.

Gonçalo Machado, from the Innovation Strategy and Digital department, gave a presentation on the Live!Urban platform and how the project collects data from the infrastructure provided by the Telecommunications Institute and normalizes it according to the information models developed. This and other data are then presented, offering a global perspective of the urban context in real time.
