The “Praia da Costa Nova” boat, launched for the first time to the Ria in 1945, was built to transport inhabitants, employees of the Air Base, workers of the old Shipyards of São Jacinto and goods, ensuring the connection between Aveiro, Ovar, Torreira and São Jacinto. Today, it is fully recovered to be able to provide different tourist experiences full of history. And it was exactly this tour that 34 employees from Altice Labs had the opportunity to experience on 6 May.
The tour had as main points the Codfish Fishing, the Aveiro Harbour, the Vouga River mouth and the old Salt Marines with their haylofts. On board, while enjoying the beautiful landscape and listening to a bit of history about the Ria, the participants were entitled to a treat, namely sparkling wine and biscuits.
At the end, everyone was very satisfied and grateful for the opportunity to get to know more about Ria de Aveiro.
