On the 15th May 2018, Altice Labs organized a playful event based on the concept of Board Games.
José Miguel Freitas and Vitor Castro, Altice Labs collaborators, have collaborated on the editions of the weekly “logOUT” newsletter with suggestions of modern board games.
Due to the curiosity generated among collaborators, and the potential to be used as catalysts in improving the work environment and escaping daily stress, a live board games demonstration was organized, to show that these games can be used in short pause moments, and have a beneficial potential in the workplace, encouraging and fostering team spirit, camaraderie and motivation.
The generalized consensus points to micro-breaks as beneficial elements to increase productivity, improve peer interaction, communication and collaboration, stress decompression, motivational energy boost and positivism, stimulate creativity and problem-solving ability and train soft-skills.
