Altice Labs and the Funchal City Hall have recently inaugurated a new hub at the new Cultural and Research Center of Funchal. Located in Campo da Barca, the space will be dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation and is prepared to accommodate about a dozen employees who are part of the more than 700 highly qualified R&D professionals.

In close collaboration with the academic community, the Regional Government, startups, and other local entities, this investment aims to contribute to the region’s competitive capacity, collaborating to drive differentiating projects in the digitalization of the country, in an open innovation model.

Altice Portugal emphasizes that the hub is a reinforcement of the high investment that has been made in recent years, regarding technology, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, culture, and social responsibility. The ongoing decentralization strategy has been essential for the competitiveness of the local economy and businesses, decisively contributing to driving projects that make a difference in the digitalization of the country, in an open innovation model.
