On the 29th April, Altice Labs welcomed a group of 15 students from the 11th grade of the Electronic and Telecommunications Technical Course of Lisbon’s Gustave Eiffel Professional School, who had the opportunity to get to know some of the company’s most emblematic places and projects.

This visit began with a brief presentation of the company’s history, along the evolution of telecommunications in the country and the world in the last almost 70 years, highlighting the products developed by Altice Labs. Next, a guided tour of the campus was held, where students and teachers were divided into two groups to see key milestones and the latest product and solution developments.

The students were always interacting and expressing interest in what was being shown to them, giving testimonies such as “Very interesting, some of the concepts were not new to me, but to see the evolution in telecommunications and how it will be in the future was refreshing, but also to understand the origin of certain equipment was equally fascinating. All this was helpful to understand today’s telecommunications”.

The teachers were also not indifferent to the visit, as it was not the first time this school visited Altice Labs. “I really enjoyed it, it’s the third time I’ve come to visit and there’s always something new. I really enjoyed your Museum, there are things that young people have no idea about and it’s very interesting for them to realize how things were in the past. Your laboratory of the future is also very important … We, at school, are trying to make a replica, because there are many interesting projects done by the students there. The experience of this visit is very important because nowadays they are shut in a classroom and have no idea what is going on outside and this world of yours is very important to them”.
