Following the success of the first edition of the PT Innovation Award, the designation used in the 2016/2017 edition, it was decided to broaden its scope and extend the award to other realities and geographies where Altice is present, now being renamed Altice International Innovation Award.

This prize is distinguished from the others by its geographic scope (Portugal, France and Israel), for the connection not only to the startups but also to the Academy, by the competition areas (Telecom, Media & Content, Data & Advertising) and by the prize itself to the winners.

The 1st place in the Startups category will be awarded the monetary value of € 50,000 and the possibility of launching a pilot with the Altice Group.

The 1st place of the Academy category, more specifically finalists of Masters and PhD, will receive a monetary prize in the amount of € 25,000.

“This is a prize that aims to stimulate the innovation that has always led us”, said the Executive President of Altice Portugal.  Alexandre Fonseca makes a point of announcing that “(…) the fact that we extend it to new geographies is also part of our DNA: internationalization and investment in several countries and differentiating projects. Our ambition will always involve technological research”.

To reinforce Portugal’s position in innovation development, creating conditions to foster  national talent and promote it inside and out of doors, to distinguish and reward all those who are capable of creating differentiating solutions and products that make a difference in the lives of all citizens, is another of the Altice Group’s purposes which extends to the Altice International Innovation Award.
