The RTPBD 2016 workshop, held in Crete at the beginning of June, aimed to publicly present the main results obtained under the LeanBigData and CoherentPaas projects, two FP7 projects that rely on the collaboration of Altice Labs as a partner of the industry sector.
In this workshop were presented several works focused on the integration of approaches to OLAP and OLTP databases, with particular emphasis on persistence issues. This workshop was held in conjunction with Discotec Conference 2016 focused in the areas of coordination models and languages and applications, systems and distributed computing.
Altice Labs was represented at the workshop through the public presentation of two works, made by Jorge Teixeira of Technological Coordination and Innovation Direction.
The first paper entitled “CoherentPaaS – Real-Time Network Performance Analysis in the telco Environment Use Case” – focused on the presentation of current results of the integration of technology developed in the project for the use case of PT. In particular, this project aims to provide ALTAIA (a network, service and Altice Labs’ customers performance management system, for mobile, fixed and convergent networks) with new logical abstraction layer databases, improving all processes involved at various levels.
The second paper presented called “Targeted Advertisement case study: the LeanBigData benchmark” – under the LeanBigData project, focused on the current state of the use case and its integration with the LeanXcale database. This use case aims to improve ads served to customers of various PT platforms (web, mobile, IPTV), making these ads more contextualized and targeted.
