Last Friday, Altice Labs, in collaboration with QART and the Municipality of Ílhavo, unveiled an advanced system designed to monitor the water quality of the Ria de Aveiro in real time.

This initiative is part of the “Aveiro Smart Connected Spaces Test Bed” program, which aims to foster the exploration of new products and services, accelerating the digital transition and enhancing the technological maturity of developed solutions.

The pilot equipment is scheduled for installation in March at Jardim Oudinot Beach, Gafanha da Nazaré. Funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan, this initiative comes at no cost to the Ílhavo City Council. The system will provide continuous and precise monitoring, ensuring environmental protection and guaranteeing the safety, public health, and water quality for users.

This project exemplifies our commitment to leveraging technology for a more sustainable and connected future, promoting solutions that benefit both communities and the environment.
