Altice Labs was represented at ENEI – 12th National Meeting of Informatics Students that took place at FEUP (Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto). This event dedicated to informatics students from all over the country was held during 4 days full of lectures, workshops and business showcases.

Altice Labs received a warm welcome, attracting the attention of more than 70 students from several years and universities.

For the first time, in addition to the promotion of the Genius Program together  with InovaRia, a survey was conducted in which a response rate of 50% was obtained. In this survey 74% of the students were between the 1st and 3rd years and the majority was from Computer Engineering courses and alike. The university with the highest visibility was the University of Aveiro with 28%, followed by the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro with 26% and FEUP with 13%.

Based on the analysis of the survey responses, 14% indicated the Web application development project as the preference area, which was followed by Mobile application development with 11%, Big Data and Analytics with 10%, Business Intelligence; SmartCities Applications and Data Science, Machine Learning and Neural Networks (AI), each with 9%; IoT Devices, Protocols, Platforms or Applications with 7% and Security and Conformance (systems, network and applications) with 5%, among others.

It was also noted that 56% of the respondents consider that Altice Labs is a company they would like to be part of and synonymous with constant challenges and learning; 53.8% also considers that Altice Labs provides ambitious projects and 74.4% would be enthusiastic, interested and proud with a proposal from Altice Labs.
