The Broadband World Forum (BBWF) 2021 took place from the 11th to the 15th of October in virtual format and on the 13th and 14th of October in-person in Amsterdam.
Altice Labs was present, as Bronze Sponsor, in both formats with products and several technological solutions and had speakers in thematic sessions.
Altice Labs’ virtual booth was available for consultation to all users who registered as Free Visitor. In addition to our virtual booth, it was possible to visit the remaining booths and attend some free access conferences.
On the 13th of October, Paulo Mão-Cheia from the Network Systems Development department made a presentation on “Next-Gen PON (XGS-PON) is now a Reality and is transforming the Networks”, where he talked about the challenges of 5G in XGS-PON, 25G-PON, 50G-PON and the evolution of PON (passive optical network) in FTTH topology in a multi-operator environment.
This year, Altice Labs was also present at a demo of the Broadband Forum’s (BBF) Cloud CO and also announced huge impact innovations for PON technology, unveiling the world’s first SFP Dual GPON and SFP + Dual XGS-PON transceiver, a revolution in the evolution of innovation with higher performance and efficiency.
There was enormous interest from virtual and in-person visitors in Altice Labs’ technology, and the innovation presented was reported in various media.
