Altice Labs participation in the 5G-PPP with MEC/SF demo

5G-PPP held its “Second Global 5G Event” in Rome, Italy on the 9^th and 10^th November.

The event provided participants with discussions on the use of radio spectrum, standards and startup of the 5G, as well as demonstrations of the latest developments by manufacturers such as Datang, Huawei, Nokia, Qualcomm and ZTE. Also the latest results and demonstrations of 17 5G-PPP projects were brought to the event: 5G-CROSSHAUL, 5GEx, 5G ENSURE, 5G-NORMA, 5G-XHAUL, CHARISMA, COGNET, COHERENT, FANTASTIC-5G, FLEX5GWARE, METIS II, mmMagic , SELFNET, SESAME, SPEED-5G, SUPERFLUIDITY, and VIRTUWIND.

It was in this context that Altice Labs was present, demonstrating the advantages of the provision of video services from the edge of the network, through its MEC prototype, developed in the context of the Superfluidity project.
