Altice Labs participated in the Raul Proença Week, at the invitation of the computer group of the Raul Proença School Group, in Caldas da Rainha.
In the context of a conference with other professionals of the area and whose theme for the session was “Through the paths of Informatics…”, Paulo Margaça and Luís Mendes, from Altice Labs, gave their testimony. The presentation had as target audience three classes of the 12th grade of the Professional Course of Management and Programming of Computer Systems Technician and of the Scientific and Technological Course of Sciences and Technologies, of the above mentioned school.
The presentation consisted of four moments, beginning with an institutional presentation of Altice Labs that was highly appreciated by all students and teachers, awakening their desire to personnaly know more about the company and its professional projects.
In the second moment, Luís Mendes shared a little about his academic and professional background, speaking in detail about the engineering and evolution challenges that the software quality component has been targeting in recent years and its importance in our everyday lives. The diversity of tasks involved in this activity and its challenges in everyday life was also presented.
In the third moment, following the same reasoning, Paulo Margaça talked about the evolution and the various roles that an IT professional will have throughout his career, and accomplished in IT projects management and all of his challenges.
Finally, they challenged the students to discover and fall in love with technology and gave hints of their experience to help students achieving academic and professional success they aspire to.
The sharing made by all professionals and the interaction with the student body and teachers was considered very enriching for all parties.
