From the 21st to 23rd May, the Job Fair – University 5.0 was held at the University of Aveiro (UA), a joint partnership between the Academic Association and the UA.
The project arises from the need to raise awareness among UA students about the labor market functioning, promoting an academic training hand in hand with the surrounding business environment, which has been characterized by a strong growth both nationally and internationally.
The University 5.0 aims to foster students’ interaction with companies through booths, networking, speed talks, business pitches, spaces reserved for interviews, lectures, among others. About 60 companies were present in the three days of the fair.
Altice Labs was present on the 22nd May with the presence of Paulo Margaça, Ilda Marques and Marta Esteves at the booth in partnership with Inova-Ria, where both the company and the GENIUS programme were presented to those interested, with internships available for Master’s thesis dissertations, as well as summer internship opportunities and research grants. Pedro Carvalho participated in a “Companies Pitch”, where he presented Altice Labs to those interested, sharing the company’s history, goals and challenges. In the afternoon there were also more reserved moments to meet some high potential candidates according to their interest areas.
