Altice Labs participates in the 6th meeting of the TERRANOVA project

The 6^th meeting of the TERRANOVA project was held from the 19^th to 21^st February in Athens, Greece.

TERRANOVA is a 3 year european project and is contextualized in the commission’s programmes package, Horizon 2020. The project’s main goal is to study the radio transmission technology in the THz band and its interconnection with the optical networks in “Beyond 5G” scenarios. In general terms, the project includes the study, design and development of an opto-electronic communication system with speeds between 500Gbps and 1000Gbps.

In addition to Altice Labs, responsible for the “Network Architecture” and “System Requirements” work units, the european consortium also includes Universities, Research Centers, SMEs and other medium and large companies. The partners of the consortium are the Research Center of the University of Pireu (Greece), Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (Germany), Intracom Telecom (Greece), University of Oulu (Finland), JCP-Connect (France) and PICAdvanced ( Portugal).
