Altice Labs participates in technical meeting of the DISCRETION project

On July 20^th, a technical meeting of the DISCRETION (Disruptive SDN Secure Communications for European Defence) project consortium was held at Altice Labs facilities in Aveiro.

In this meeting, the discussed issues were related to the design of a multi-domain and multi-layer Software Defined Network (SDN) capable of supporting defense communications scenarios, with quantum distribution of cryptographic keys. Various aspects of prototyping elements of this SDN were also addressed.

The DISCRETION project, running from January 2022 to May 2025 and funded by the European Defense Fund (EDF), brings together Altice Labs and several companies and universities from Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Austria.
