Altice Labs was present at the conference [REC2021] XVII Conference on Reconfigurable Systems held this year on 5-6 July 2021 at FEUP/INESCTEC, Porto.
These Conferences aim to bring together the national scientific community with activities and interests in reconfigurable electronic systems, with an emphasis on programmable digital devices called FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array).

The algorithm that manages all access to the PON (Passive Optical Network) network was presented and is currently implemented in FPGA on the OLT (Optic Line Terminal) cards developed at Altice Labs.

The presentation is entitled ‘PON-Real Time Bandwidth Allocation on FPGA’ where the speaker was Nelson Lopes Arqueiro, from the Network Systems Directorate (DSR) at Altice Labs.
