The COVID-19 coronavirus presents an unprecedented global challenge and, therefore, this has been a time when companies have defined the best strategy that will allow them to accelerate the response to their new challenges, achieving the necessary recovery but also the inevitable transformation of their businesses.
The world was forced to accelerate its digital transformation, however there are still many doubts, namely how is it possible to collect the various data from various available sources? Where can you find the information you need? The data of each user is secure? How can we make data simple and accessible, regardless of type or location, and how can we organize it through analytics that is reliable and that can be managed safely and in accordance with each business? Does the combination of data with Artificial Intelligence (AI) allow companies to provide predictive management, have valuable insights, automate processes to optimize the work of their employees and create unique experiences for their customers? These and other issues are undoubtedly critical aspects that allow to solve some of the difficult problems that companies face today.
It is in this sense that IBM is promoting a series of webcasts dedicated to the Cognitive Company theme. The first webcast took place on the 1st June from 10 am to 11:30 am on the theme “Data & Security” and was attended by Paulo Pereira, Director of Technology and Innovation Strategy at Altice Labs, Rui Monteiro, Business Intelligence and Analytics CC Manager at TAP Air Portugal and Joaquim Canhoto, CDO of Banco Montepio.
In this debate, it was mentioned how Altice Labs is preparing to accelerate the digital transformation, namely in the area of telecommunications, in the case of 5G, highlighting the solutions developed that are being made available to respond to all this digital evolution. Also highlighted was the work in partnership with IBM in the project “Mobile Network Site Down Prediction”, which aims to analyze how AI can be used to transform the reactive paradigm of problem management in telecommunications networks to a proactive paradigm based on the predictive capabilities of AI.
