On the 17th of March, Altice Labs, through Paulo Pereira, Head of Technology and Innovation Strategy at Altice Labs, participated in the “The Future of 5G in the World – Lessons Learned” digital conference organized by the Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications (APDC) in partnership with Deloitte, in a session which included several experts in the field of 5G.

In this session it was made clear that the best strategy to prepare for the future is to learn from what is already being done around the world, in order to speed up the implementation of this new mobile network in Portugal.

Paulo Pereira addressed the importance of the existence of a comprehensive Living Lab, based on 5G connectivity, but also on platforms that enable the creation of a co-innovation ecosystem that takes advantage not only of the connectivity potentials that 5G allows, but also of the platform-based approach (edge, information processing, IoT) that increase the number of achievable opportunities. He also mentioned that all this has already been created by Altice Labs and its partners, in Aveiro, which originated the 5G enabling Living Lab.

The entire session can be watched on APDC’s youtube channel.
