There will be direct impacts in areas as diverse as health and well-being, the evolution of homes making them more intelligent and comfortable, the optimization of all mobility and intermodal organization, the efficiency of cities and urban space dynamics, evolution of the whole industry towards the fourth industrial revolution, the improvement of the environment and the sustainable growth of the whole society.

In this lecture the Communication Service Provider strategy and its positioning in the value chain were presented to respond to the concrete needs of digital transformation. This presentation was carried out in the context of the Internet of Things curricular unit of the Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the invitation of teachers Teresa Gomes and Paulo Peixoto of DEEC.
